Aaron Treat

Clinical Prototyping Manager

As Inworks Clinical Prototyping Manager, Aaron brings deep knowledge and expertise in mechanical and manufacturing engineering gained through years of innovating in the medical device field. While leveraging the rapid prototyping resources at Inworks UC Anschutz Medical Campus, Aaron collaborates with students, faculty, and medical professionals to transform innovative ideas into tangible realities.

Aaron has vast professional experience in medical equipment manufacturing, including the production of orthopedic implants of blood-processing equipment. His high point, however, was supporting patient care as a design engineer in Mayo Clinic’s Division of Engineering. There, as part of a cross disciplinary group of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, as well as machinists and glassblowers, he helped to design and deploy custom devices and equipment, medical and non-medical, for use in the clinic.

A Colorado native, Aaron was born and raised in Golden, Colorado. Later, he studied and lived in Portland, Oregon, married his high-school sweetheart, and lived in Rochester, Minnesota for four years before moving back home to Colorado. He now lives near UC Anschutz Medical Campus with his wife, three young kids, and a used minivan.

He is very excited to be partnering with, learning from, and contributing to Inworks’ mission.
