Jenny Filipetti recently joined Inworks as our newest Assistant Professor. Her diverse interests and experience converge where the sciences, fine arts, and emergent technologies intersect. After earning a degree in Art-Semiotics from Brown University, where she also studied Computational Biology, her academic training culminated in a Master of Fine Arts in Emergent Digital Practices from the University of Denver.
Over the past several years, Jenny developed and managed the Creative Technology Commons, a suite of innovative learning spaces at the Auraria Library. And, as an accomplished electronic media artist, Jenny uses technology to render the imperceptible visible, and to capture and mobilize what she calls “tiny data:” the idiosyncratic, immaterial, and ephemeral traces of existence that nonetheless connect us as human beings.
With her ability to thoughtfully converse and connect across varied disciplines and her passion for nurturing deep thinkers and imaginative makers, the Inworks’ community of faculty, staff, and students couldn't be more excited about Jenny’s arrival.
