Stephen is responsible for the safe and effective operations of the Inworks Prototyping Lab. In this role, Stephen works with students, faculty and staff to create a culture of safety, develop and deliver workshops on tools and equipment, manage day to day operations of the lab.
Hands on skills in 3D Design, Metal Fabrication, Machining, Electronics, Robotics and Programming as well as an business operations provide a unique skill set to help students succeed in physically making prototypes of their ideas, and teaching them new skills.
The skills in design, making and prototyping was developed over many years, most recently culminating as the owner of Denver's first full makerspace, Club Workshop.
In addition to the above, Stephen is actively involved in a number of high school robotics programs, including providing the on site "machine shop" at the FIRST Robotics Competition - Denver Regional, as well as having served on the boards of Rocky Mountain BEST (rmbest.org) and Freelance Robotics.
In the past, Stephen had a successful career in Information Technology including at Accenture and Shell Australia. His experienced includes multiple SAP implementations, outsourcing management, project management, systems integration and consulting. In addition, Stephen has provided product design and integration services to a number of biotech companies.
