Design | Make High School Summer Camp
Inworks is partnering with the College of Arts & Media’s LYNX Camps to offer a Design | Make camp for high school students.
During the week long camp, students will design & make robotic sculptures! For the first three days, we'll explore a range of techniques to create inexpensive interactive sculptures, before diving into an independent or group project of their own design.
Along the way we'll create pop-up paper art, build paper circuits, learn to 3D print, and explore mechanics by creating sculptures that move on their own. Students will also program Arduino microcontrollers to incorporate LEDs, sensors, and other electronics into their creations.
This program provides hands-on training in the basic principles of electronics and how to use a laser cutter and 3D printer.
One week, non-residential camp,
Runs June 11-15, 2018
Early acceptance through March 15, 2018 (Students must apply by the March 15th deadline in order to receive need-based scholarships)
